Pattern Help??

Standard

I had a request for one of my dress patterns. I wrote out what I could. The top part was easy, when it came to the bottom part, I am having problems. Is there anyone out there who is willing and able to help me out?? With the pattern itself and maybe trying the pattern out? Pretty please?

My dress should fit a 3 month old using worsted weight yarn and a 5.5 mm hook.

Ch 74

Row 1: Double crochet in the 3rd chain from the hook and all the way across. Chain 2

Row 2: Double crochet in the first chain and in each stitch across

Row 3-9 repeat row 2

Row 10: chain 4 (counts as a double crochet ch 1) *skip first stitch double crochet ch 1 in the next stitch. Repeat from * around.

Row 11: single crochet in each stitch around (even in the ch spaces)

Row 12: Ch 3, 4 double crochets in the same stitch (shell stitch) skip one stitch and single crochet in the next* skip one stitch 5 double crochets in the next, skip one stitch and single crochet in the next.

Here is where I don’t know exactly what I did, but the goal is to single crochet in the middle of the shell stitch (3rd double crochet) and make a shell in the single crochet. You do that for the length of the dress. I didn’t turn my work.

Straps

Row – When I finished I went to the top and counted 7 stitches over from the middle of the dress and joined yarn there for the straps. Single crochet in that same stitch and in the next 4 stitches, (5 single crochets) ch1 and turn.

Row 2-10 single crochet in the next stitch and in each stitch to the end fasten off

Do this 4 times, twice on the front and twice on the back. Make sure the front and back straps line up.

Attach approx. 6 in of yarn to each strap (you will have 4 pieces of ribbon) tie the ribbons together to finish off the strap.

To finish the dress, weave a ribbon through row 10 and tie in a bow in the front.

About crochetsisters

I originally started this blog with my friend, but I think I liked blogging more than she did! I have grown so much since I started this blog, many of you have watched me become a mom and have seen my talent for crochet grow. I am now a mama of 3 babies and I don't have as much time to crochet or blog, but I do try to whenever I get a chance!
